We were invited to an event and we ended up staying here for a couple of nights and attended an event here on one of the evenings. The area of Heldenbergen is not very interesting and is a living town more than anything. The hotel has been in the same family for almost a century and remains family run. They have a dozen or more rooms and a restaurant. They also have a special function hall on the upper level. The room we had was quite spacious. It had a nice bed and pillows. The only drawback was it was next to the parking area. It had all the basics in a room and clean. The breakfast was ok and nothing special. It was not as elaborate as many family hotels we have stayed in. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The food at the event was great and the choice plenty. I really enjoyed my dinner here and would recommend it for anyone wanting a nice special night out in the area. Price is ok however, we have stayed in many places which were less expensive than this one. All in all a lovely place to stay and eat. I would happily come here again. read more

Das familiär geführte Hotel und Restaurant wird von Generation zu Generation weitergegeben. Mitte des Jahres 2016 wurde einer neuer Meilenstein erreicht - das Hotel "Zum Adler" wurde durch die DEHOGA mit 3 Sternen Superior klassifiziert. Familie Goy steckt sehr viel Liebe in den geführten Betrieb - von köstlicher Küche, über einen super Service bis hin zu WiFi und neuen Matratzen, hat das Haus viel zu bieten!

The location is outside of Frankfurt and worked extremely well as a base for out visit to the Rhein valley as well as Frankfurt and the local surroundings. We used a car for all of our travel, but the hotel is close to the local train station so travel options are easy. All amenities, wifi and the freshly prepared breakfast were excellent. We would highly recommend staying at the Hotel Lauer while visiting the Frankfurt area.

Wir sind nun schon seit mehreren Jahren Stammgäste im Hotel und Restaurant zum Alder.. die Familie Goy bietet uns jedesmal sehr schmackhaftes Essen in einem tollen Ambiente - der Kellner ist wirklich spitze!! Die grüne Soße ist wirklich ungewöhnlich gut. Genau wie sie sein soll. Und das ist in Restaurants eher selten. Der Spargel perfekt gegart. Das Schnitzel knusprig Sehr leckere Küche. Und super nette Bedienung! Wir kommen wieder!!!! read more
