I was pretty hungry as well, and without even looking at the menu, I spotted a dish that another guy was eating so I just pointed to it and asked the server if I could have what that guy was eating. She was really nice and made sure I had a full, fresh glass at all times. My dish resembled a shake 'n bake pork chop, but the best shake 'n bake pork chop anyone has ever had. A side of potato salad and a tub of mustard complemented it just right. It was very low-key when I came in, but it looked like a great place to party.

Service was what you would expect in a crowded heavy tourist area of Köln. Food was to the level expected for what was paid. The Kolch flowed freely and we had a great meal. It is a Kolsche beer that they serve here. It comes in small glasses (maybe 3-4oz) and they will just keep bringing you beer unless you cover your cup with a coaster! It's pretty fun! We did choose to try a few things that we had never tried before! All of it was great, a couple things too kind of a brain adjustment? In the USA, we don't eat raw pork. I guess Germany has higher standards for their meat and it can be eaten raw! The Kolsche tapas is raw pork on bread with seasoning and toppings! It was really good! Don't be scared! Give it a try!!!
