I'm really not sure what the German reviews are talking about on about regarding the "Konzept" of the place - it's just a little neighborhood bar - but it's a good one!

I could easily spend long nights in here - great choice of beers, liquers and apertifs. Didn't sample the food but the menu looked good and any food coming pact to other diners looked basic and wholesome. The true star of the evening, however, was the apple strudel. Freshly made, perfectly sweet, and easily the best apple strudel I had in Berlin. We had a reservation, which I'd recommend since the restaurant filled up quickly during dinner service. The service was fast, friendly, and the staff spoke excellent English, making the experience easy and welcoming for visitors. Since it was a warm evening, we chose the outdoor seating, which made for a lovely dinner, though the indoor dining room has the cozy charm of a traditional German pub. Read the reviews and saw that it is a popular place and reservations are recommended. We were dining early (4:45) and thought it wouldn't be hard to get in with a party of two. We did get a table but under the condition that we'd be done by 6pm. By that time, we could see why. The place started to fill up. Both of our meals were excellent. Coworker had the schnitzel (I know someone who thinks that word is funny) and I had the beef tips in a mushroom sauce over spaetzle. Soooo, soooo, good! Plate clearing good. Schnitzel was also excellent. Big portions. Will repeat
