Firstly, I learned that I was in the Apple Wine district of Frankfurt, as I went to order a beer, the bartender kindly notified me that while they have beer, they're a wine bar. As I looked around, I noticed everyone drink apple wine with fancy little glasses with diamond shapes to make them sparkle. I also noticed that many were mixing their win with sparkling water, but I thought it was great straight. I chose a very traditional meal of bratwurst, some great cabbage and potatoes. There is not "bar" as I would probably sit at as a single in a USA restaurant, but was place at a table with some other people which worked fine. The staff was great and very helpful, food came out fast and was terrific. Highly recommend. The neighborhood is great to walk around in after dinner.

She was curious about us and tried to bond, without ever being intrusive. We tried Frankfurt famous green sauce, one with eggs, the other with a schnitzel, and my god this was so well cooked! Golden breaded outside and rather soft in the inside. Roasted potatoes cooked perfectly and being soft inside but slightly crunchy outside. As an appetizer we got the Handkäse mit Musik and a mixed salad with gekochte Ziegenkäse...I recommend both! They hit the spot and surprised us with a warm soft texture (the latter one) and with some unexpected balance of sour winegar and sweet onions/cheese. Also, except for the schnitzel this was all vegetarian friendly!! If you ever come to Frankfurt and you want to try local food...YOU MUST STOP HERE!! :) Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures, but the plates are also very well presented and the food really looks like you want to dig into it!
