The staff at this hotel are terrible, particularly the hotel director who appeared cold and uncaring. After we made our reservations at this hotel, the hotel never made any contacts with us. Other hotels that we reserved with did make a couple of contacts with us, in a professional manner. However, Amister Art Hotel seemed to hope that you forget they exist until, the grace period passes and then they pounce and charge you. We were unfairly charged. We had to meet with the Hotel Director about a 160 Euro charge and he seemed to look down on the customers, us included. We informed him that due to a computer cliché, our hotel cancellation did not go through. We called the Hotel many times to address this, for a couple of days and eventually, they hotel staff answered the telephone, once. Needless to say we were at a great disadvantage since we were already, abroad. The staff from the Website services of Hotel.com had to also call Amister Art Hotel for two days in a row, repeatedly to try to reach a Hotel staff, before eventually, the Hotel staff, finally, answered their telephone. And, eventually we, personally went to the Amister Art Hotel since it was almost impossible to reach them over the telephone. We ended up meeting with the Hotel Director and the Director of this Hotel said he had heard many stories of people trying to get their money back, due to claiming that their family members were dying and or had died and that he never refunds people's money. Therefore, he said he would not refund us and basically implied that if he was not moved by people dying our story would not move him. He appeared totally arrogant. Be aware that the staff in general appear to be uncaring and cold especially after they have taken your money. The fact that the Hotel rarely answered the telephone, is a very bad sign. Please note, that the lobby was dark and it was very noisy in the hotel since their is major construction taking place on the adjacent building. We saw the construction happening when we visited the hotel toward the middle part of April 2017. Be aware that the this Hotel Amister Art took advantage, of us and that therefore, this can happen to you, too. Hotel.com and our Bank advocated on our behalf however, this Hotel would not be amicable and continues to appear to be money pinching and money hungry. We were mistreated and they took 160 Euros from us. Save yourselves before it is too, late and stay at another Hotel. We think, most places will be a much better choice. If you are from this Hotel and know about this horrible experience please do the right thing, return our money you are keeping, from us. We will keep fighting this injustice. I hope this abuse does not happen to you! read more
