The location on the tram stop made it convenient to get to (stop Autobusove Nadrazi Podchod, we took line 4, other lines stop here as well). Nice selection of beers on tap--Pilsner Urquell, Svijany and Staropramen--which were expertly poured. Food was great (pork roulade with bacon, garnished with sliver of red onion, sweet mini peppers and watercress with other selections equally good)! It was too cold for the large outdoor garden, but we would definitely use it in warmer weather. Meteor opened in Apr 2000. Owner speaks Czech, English, German, Russian, Polish, Spanish, Italian and Hindi. We spoke with him in Czech and English throughout the evening. Česky / Czech 12 se nás sešlo v restauraci Meteor v úterý od 17:00 hodin až do zavírací doby. Pro jistotu jsme zereservovali stůl. Velmi jednoduše jsme se dostali na místo čtyřkou tramvají - čtyřka a i jiné linky zastavují přímo před restaurací, zastávka Autobusové nádraží - podchod. Je zde velký výběr piv--Plzeň, Svijany a Staropramen, natočené s velkou péčí. Jídlo bylo perfektní (vepřová roláda se slaninou, ozdobená plátky červené cibule, sladkou miniaturní paprikou a řeřichou. Ostatní výběr byl stejně výborný. Bylo příliš zima na posezení ve velké venkovní zahradě ale určitě bychom ji použili při trošku teplejším počasí. Meteor otevřel v dubnu 2000. Majitel mluví česky, anglicky, německy, rusky, polsky, španělsky, italsky a hindu. Naše skupina využívala češtinu a angličtinu během večera.

We sat in the non-smoking room which despite being mostly full was quiet enough for us to have a good chat. She ordered fruit tea since she was driving and I had a drink. We shared baked Brie with cranberry preserves on slices of a very fresh baguette. We both wish that we could have stayed longer. We definitely plan to return since the owner, Ivo Lankaš, mentioned that effective 01June2017 smoking would no longer be permitted indoors! Ani jedna z nás nikdy nebyla v této restauraci a byly jsme příjemně překvapeny pěkným prostředím a službami. Ubrusy na stole byly svěží a zařízení čistá, zejména toalety! Seděly jsme v nekuřácké části která, ač byla většinou plná, byla dostatečně tichá na konverzaci. Přítelkyně, která řídila, si objednala ovocný čaj, a já si dala skleničku. Podělily jsme se o pečený Hermelín s brusinkovou marmeládou na velmi čerstvé bagetě. Obě jsme chtěly zůstat déle ale nebylo více času. Určitě máme v plánu se vrátit, protože majitel Ivo Lankaš se zmínil, že od 01 června 2017 nebude kouření povoleno v interiéru!
