I stumbled on this after I was turned down from another sushi place in Fremont and I was in need of sushi! I've tried the little madfish in Redwood City as a birthday gift to myself and truly fell in love with it! I usually get the bento box but this time I found this little madfish right on the corner of the plaza, and decided to give this one a try. Parking was decent at the time that I went yesterday, it was not bad at all I was able to find a park right in the front of the restaurant. I walked in and oh yes it was packed! I waited about 5 minutes and soon became seated. I love the fact that it has TVs in this restaurant! A plus for that! Customer service was very good! Our server made sure she was checking on us and that our waters were filled! For appetizers, I ordered the edamame and the seaweed salad! I was not too thrilled about the edamame had no flavor it was just very blah. The seaweed salad was very good, just $5! Not bad! for the sushi rolls I ordered the 49ers and the crunchy spicy California roll. Both the roles were very delicious! I was amazed it was not the fat sloppy type of sushi that you can barely fit in your mouth at one time it was very decent and very delicious! I would definitely choose the spicy crunchy California roll over the 49ers but I do have to say that both of them were very good and I will order both of them again. They had so many sushi rolls to test and try that I'm so excited to come back again so I can pick another sushi roll off the menu! Although Fremont is known to have many good sushi places! I would definitely give this little madfish restaurant a try again! You won't be disappointed! read more
