Been going to 8000 Sunset a few times a week for years as it houses a Trader Joe's. The mall itself has definitely been through its changes. It used the be chock full of stores and restaurants but now the it's pretty sparse. The theater here has also been through it and has changed hands several times. Sundance, AMC and currently Landmark. Hopefully Landmark sticks around but they definitely appear to be struggling as far as attendance. I think this mall is very much a reflection of what's taking place throughout the city which is high rents forcing businesses to shutter. Very sad to see. read more
