The UTC area has just about everything, from shopping to dining to Mote Marine. Now add a heavenly slice of Greece to that mix.
Blu Kouzina is a full-on Mediterranean muse... with a light, bright, modern slant of Greek islands decor and a sophisticated but approachable menu. It's not cheap and that's okay, when the food is good-which it is (and inventive). AND there's a happy hour that I'll definitely come back for.
The dining room is large but pleasant and inviting and well laid out. The white tablecloths are a nice touch-and we did our best not to spill. The martini/cocktail menu was fun and creative. They were in the $15-$18 range, but I think you can get them for $8 during happy hour.
We had to order the saganaki. Instead of it being set on fire tableside like many Greek places, it arrived on a cast iron skillet-beautifully melted and still sizzling, with fig jam on top. The presentation was marvelous and refined-and the cheese was divine. We ordered pita to go with it but you wouldn't have to.
For my main, I had the Cretan Harvest lunch bowl-with the zucchini cakes and so many yummy other ingredients. (quinoa, cucumber, radishes, some amazing whipped feta, etc). It was super flavorful, very refreshing, so filling but so healthy-and it was $20 on the lunch specials menu (July 2026). My sweet server backed my decision when I told her I was considering it-and we were right. It was so tasty and I took the leftovers home-and got two more meals out of it.
This was such a happy find. There are so many more things on the menu I want to try. It's elevated but not at all stuffy. I look forward to going back and trying some oven cooked items.
The restaurant is easy to find-in the UTC collection, just west of the main mall-with lots of parking. There's outside dining-tables and couches, around the building. The bar is beautiful and the sound of cocktail shakers is hypnotic. Opa, Blu Kouzina! read more
