Went to this local Pilsen bar and restaurant for lunch, per on recommendation from a fellow restauranteur friend of mine that owns a business down the street. Friendly service, sat at a comfortable booth next to the window in the front. Chips with homemade salsa served upon arriving, ordered the mushroom empanada, the Al pastor Cemita, and three tacos(pollo, carne asada, and pescado). For someone who does not care too much for mushroom, the empanada, laced with corn and other fresh ingredients, was very tasty. The cemita had excellent flavor, as did the tacos, my only suggestion would be to have confidence that your meat is flavored and perfect just the way it is. The chipotle mayo was slightly overused and dressed on everything, and truth be told, your food is wonderful in its authentic form. Salud! read more
