This was my first time back at Osteria La Buca in about 5 years. I had such great memories of the food, craft cocktails, and service. This time was different. The quality of the ingredients in the short rib ravioli and eggplant parm that we ordered was still the same, but gone was the healthy preparation. The ravioli was floating in a heavy creamy sauce, and the eggplant was heavily breaded and fried. The service was terrible. Our order was taken promptly and the food came out in a reasonable time, but during the following 45 minutes that we were there no one checked in on us to see if we needed anything, and our plates sat on the table for 20 minutes after we were finished until we asked for them to be cleared. The entire time the bartender and 2 other employees stood around chatting and ignoring the customers. They also add 5% to every check, which they will remove if you ask them too. read more
