Johnsons' Corner has always been a wonderful restaurant.
Petro/TA Truck stops have bought the place & I am hoping they don't ruin the place.
Johnson's Corner has a huge local & tourist trade, especially the Sunday & weekend crowd. They are always packed.
The food is cooked right there, just like at home & they have their own Bakery, where baked goods, biscuits, etc are made & brought in.
They also have Buffalo Sausage & Eggs w/hash browns, which we had, just $6.99.
Just wonderful & tasty.
We did buy an Apricot Kringle on the way out, $7.99; Was not as pleased with it.
The dough was not real flaky, more like biscuit dough & the filling could have had a little more substance & flavor.
The wait staff are still as always friendly, smiling & pleasant; always eager to please.
My Greatest fear is, that they will start changing the restaurant, which would be a huge mistake. I would be really pissed to find it to be another of TA/Petro's microwave wonder, restaurants; which have no variety & food that is poorly prepared.
Hopefully they will leave Johnson's Corner just as it is, a warm friendly place to be, with wonderful & caring wait staff & cooks, who actually prepare & cook real food, that is good for you. read more
