The last time I paid the Harraseeket Inn a visit it was nothing to brag about. But someone has stepped up their game ladies and gentlemen. From musty dive hotel bar, and not one of the fun ones (well there was this one older lady that would serve you the strongest drink of your life whether you told her you were driving or not but other than that), to fine dining.
Beyond impressed! This place is BEAUTIFUL and I don't know how they did it, but it doesn't have that smell anymore. And anyone that has been there in the past knows exactly what I'm talking about. Kinda like your grandmother's basement after a flood from 15 years ago that no one probably cleaned up. Yeah you know the smell.
The short ribs were gorgeous, the reduction was perfect and the wild mushroom au gratin was heavenly.
NY strip was perfectly tender, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. I'm never surprised anymore when a restaurant forgets what "medium" actually is. Sadly, I'm at the point where I'm surprised when they get it right. Pleasantly, but still surprised.
This place, definitely gets my vote when I go to Freeport to spoil myself.
