First, these are very good bagels and I am a believer in the power of Brooklyn Water. I do, however, have another personal favorite. This location off Goldenrod is small, but fortunately they have a courtyard out back where you can sit and eat. I visited this weekend (Sunday) shortly after they opened and was quickly served. I wondered if the apparatus they have on display ever actually runs, because that would be freaking cool. I suggest signing up for the reward program before you go so you can start collecting points ASAP. My mistake on this visit was I ordered a sandwich that was WAY too much for me. The Chorizo is very delicious - all egg and cheese and sausage and salsa. But it was big enough for a linebacker. This $7 sandwich is HEARTY. You are absolutely getting bang for your buck. Later this same day, I was at another shop nearby and the line was out the door - before lunchtime. This is the spot, and not just because of COVID. This place has a following. Maybe not my choice every time I want a bagel, but a damn safe bet if you're in the area and need that schmear. read more
