Great soft bagels and friendly service Parking can be tricky as it's a busy plaza, but there plenty of spots - you may just have to walk a little ways. The inside is small but clean with a huge selection of coffees and accoutrement. My favorite part are the frozen coffee ice cubes they use so your coffee doesn't get watered down! I had the pastrami egg and cheese on everything bagel and it was fantastic. Could have had more meat, but it was a fluffy bagel with fresh egg so I can't complain. I recently returned from NYC and immediately began my spiritual pilgrimage: finding an Orlando bagel that even remotely compares to New York's finest. My standards? Astronomical. My expectations? Realistic. I knew they probably wouldn't be met... but hope is a powerful thing. I showed up Sunday at 10:30am fully prepared for a line out the door. To my surprise, the majority of the people were a swarm of Uber Eats drivers. God bless them.Delivering to the masses while also blocking those of us who physically made it out of bed. The place itself has plenty of seating inside and outside, which I appreciated. Service was... okay. I got a kid at the counter who looked like a deer in headlights. Sweet? Yes. Confident in anything happening? Absolutely not. it was just a kid. Maybe a little more training wouldn't hurt. Now, the important part: the bagel. I ordered the sourdough everything bagel in an egg sandwich and grabbed a Black Russian bagel to go (I think that's what it's called -- if not, forgive me). And honestly? Solid. Respectable. It came close. Not quite NYC-level but ok. The coffee, however... no. I ordered one where the ice cubes are made of coffee Unfortunately, it had a mysterious aftertaste that I'm still trying to identify. Burnt? Bitter? Existential disappointment? Hard to say. Being from Brooklyn, I'm a little hard with this review lol First, let me say that I thoroughly enjoyed this bagel. It had the same thickness and texture of a bagel I'd get from home. I did get the order to go, but there is some limited seating inside and some additional seating outside. The bagel sandwich was good. The service was pleasant. I've always passed Brooklyn water Bagel everytime I drive on Goldenrod and finally decided to stop in. Walking inside it was smaller than I expected but spacious enough to sit down and eat. I ordered the Hot Honey Bacon Egg and Cheese with an orange juice and my husband ordered the Brooklyn Sandwich. Both sandwiches came out hot and stuffed which is always nice. We both enjoyed how the bagels were fresh and soft. The sandwiches have good flavor and are filling. We really enjoyed our breakfast and will be back. My husband ordered the Iced Coffee Cubsta and he really enjoyed that the ice cubes were also made out of coffee so that your drink doesn't get watered down when it melts. I'm not into coffee but after tasting the Cubsta I might have to order one next visit. The day before our office breakfast at the office I ordered a dozen bagels intense sandwiches in different variations of egg with bacon, pastrami and so forth from the Boynton Beach location. I ordered for 9:00 pick up. I decided last night that I should pick it up earlier so I went on the website and there was nowhere to change it. I got up at 6:00 AM and called them when they opened and explained that I wanted to pick this up earlier. At this time I was informed by the manager that there was no way for them to see the order until 10 minutes before the pick up time. So I got in the car at 7:15 AM and went there with the printed out order and said can you make this and I will come back and pick it up. I went back 1/2 hour later and said to her a dozen bagels and 10 sandwiches correct she said yes here are the bags. I get back to the office and there's only 8 sandwiches which makes us short for our meeting. She does offer to make two more but I'm 7 or 8 miles away and there's no way I could go pick them up. If you don't know, BWB offers frozen coffee cubes instead of regular ice to keep your ice coffee from getting watered down (now you know). Their bagels are distinctive. If you're looking for an extra soft and chewy bagel, this isn't it. Their everything bagel seasoning is legit and they scoop out some of the inside of the bagel to make room for their delicious schmear (get the scallion cream cheese and thank me later). Not that there was anything wrong with the rye toast that cradled my tuna salad, it just looked flimsy, even with the help of the leaf lettuce and sliced red onion to help bolster the look. Being from the northeast srate of New Jersey, I grew up surrounded by great bagel places. Having been raised in New Jersey and in the shadow of New York City, it seemed that there was a never-ending supply of great bagel shops, whether it be in the Garden State or in New York City itself. When I move to Florida, I was both saddened and dismayed to learn that great bagels we're not the norm for the Sunshine State. In fact, what I wanted to get my bagel fix, I would be forced to resort to a place like Panera Bread or Dunkin' Donuts you get what could be at best a mediocre bagel and certainly nothing like the great bagel shops that I had growing up. That is not to say that Brooklyn Water Bagel offers a life-changing bagel. It certainly does not. In New Jersey, it would be mediocre. However, as Dorothy found herself and a different land when she ended up in Oz, I certainly realize that I am not in New Jersey anymore. So, while Florida has some great food, Brooklyn Water Bagel is one of the better places that you will find to get a bagel down here in Florida. This particular location is conveniently located and a shopping plaza with a Publix for an anchor store. So, since it is in a shopping plaza, parking is not an issue. It is also pretty conveniently-located. It is located on the corner of University Boulevard and Goldenrod Road. The bagels here are good, especially when you consider that you are in Florida and the service is friendly. I would definitely recommend here. read more
