This was my second visit since about a year ago or so and now I remember why it had been awhile. Firstly, I was taking a guest who loves chicken wings and this place was conveniently located and with an ad for an all you can eat wings on Wednesdays for $16.50 we thought we should try it.
We got seated near the bar where there were a few large screen TVs visible from our table and they were all playing diff ESPN sports channel including the rerun of that ill-fated loss by the Packers to Matt Ryan's Falcons. Our server came right away. We asked what the special was of the day, we were surprised when she answered oh too bad you had just missed happy hour. Huh, it was only 6:30p and the sign says happy hour from 3-7pm. Besides, it was unsolicited for we wanted her to tell us what food on the menu or special of the day. Nevertheless, I thought I should point her to the sign. She apologized and she said she lost track of time. She told us about the wings special, first batch will be 10 wings and we can select from the different flavors or combination thereof. I ordered the lemon pepper and blue cheese and my guest ordered garlic parmesan and ranch combo.
The wings look appealing but as you bite into them, only the outer layer or skin tasted okay but the meat itself tasted bland and dry, which is to say I've had better.
I will not be coming back, just like it had been over a year since i've tried them- it just reminded me I did not like it then and after today, I can definitely say I did not like it now. Worst of all, the service was not up to par. I ordered a diet Pepsi(no coke products) and it was never refilled and the glass was full of ice that after a fee sips there was nothing else to sip yet the ice was still all way full to the tilt. The server did not check back again to even check if we wanted more until we decided it was time to check out. Although we did not want anymore it would have been nice if she had check back in or refilled my Pepsi at least. As she brought us the tab, she said oh by the way fries came with the wings and that she forgot to tell us. Again, that would have been to have to at least break the taste of the wings. And while she apologized for all her failings, the one serve of 10 wings each we had were not exactly the all you can eat that could have or might have save this place from a poor rating during this visit. Giving this place a 2 is generous when I thought it deserved 1 1/2, half for the structure itself and location. read more
