I decided to stop here for restaurant week as I enjoy eating at local establishments during that week. It gives me the chance to try places I've never heard of or thought about trying. The decor was very nice, casual and relaxing. The customer service was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and courteous once I walked in the door. The food was pretty good. Everything appeared to be made fresh and in house. There were a few questionable items. I started out with the crab soup, which was a little peppery and tasted as if the veggies were smoked. The taste was very unusual. My date had the tomato and crab gazpacho, which I sampled. I will say that it was very tasty. It wasn't overpowering and the flavors blended very well. My second item was the middle-neck clams with grilled bread. The broth left a little to be desired because of a little too much beer but the clams were delicious with the leeks and what appeared to be ham or some other smoked pork. You could taste the char of the bread which was ok but I wished the bread were crunchy like a hard roll and not so chewy. My main meal was the Sweet Tea Brined Pork Loin - delicious!!! The pork was so moist and flavorful and the bacon cornbread was moist but I couldn't taste much bacon. It definitely had a nice crunch. I ended the meal with their homemade ice cream with there house-made whipped cream. It was simple yet tasty. Overall I give food 3 stars and give the customer service 5 stars.
