Do you like Chicken Wings?
Then you'd better be ready to start plucking.
Seriously, I've never gone to cut up chicken wings where I felt that I had to give the pieces a haircut. The worst job of butchering I've ever come across, to the point where I was pulling off feathers, or what remained of them, myself.
Don't get me wrong, I love Aldi and their low prices. They have definitely ramped up their game by improving and cleaning up their stores, offering more products along with more organic offerings. But this? Had these been purchased from other stores I shop at, it would've taken me five minutes tops to cut these wings into pieces; after having to pluck feathers and rub the remainder of the junk off the wing pieces, I must've spent 30 to 40 minutes. 30 to 40 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
I am not doing this to slam Aldi - actually you might come across this type of butchering at Cermak down the street. But I have never, ever in my 30+ years of cooking wings myself come across anything as badly butchered and, frankly, disgusting as this. See for yourselves... read more
