Horrible customer service-- I had bought a bottle of bleach-based cleaner that had a loose cap. It contaminated several items in my bag, and upon my return to the store, they would not replace all of the items that had been contaminated. Do you like Chicken Wings? Then you'd better be ready to start plucking. Seriously, I've never gone to cut up chicken wings where I felt that I had to give the pieces a haircut. The worst job of butchering I've ever come across, to the point where I was pulling off feathers, or what remained of them, myself. Don't get me wrong, I love Aldi and their low prices. They have definitely ramped up their game by improving and cleaning up their stores, offering more products along with more organic offerings. But this? Had these been purchased from other stores I shop at, it would've taken me five minutes tops to cut these wings into pieces; after having to pluck feathers and rub the remainder of the junk off the wing pieces, I must've spent 30 to 40 minutes. 30 to 40 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I am not doing this to slam Aldi - actually you might come across this type of butchering at Cermak down the street. Aldi is a lifesaver. Best deals on groceries. Period. $0.69 for eggs, less than $2 for a gallon of milk...the list just goes on and on. If you're looking to not spend an arm and a leg for groceries, you've come to the right place. Don't expect any frills and anything fancy. Bring your reusable bags and a quarter to "rent" yourself a cart and prepare to save money on your basic grocery shopping needs. I've been coming to Aldi for years now and I can always get a cartful of items and spend less than $100. Gabrielle insisted on counting bags like I was trying to steal, after checking out realized she double scanned and charged me twice on 2 items. Pros: It's Aldi, so you get quality groceries for cheaper than Jewel sale prices. Cons: It's an Aldi without the great selection of inexpensive beer and wine. Also, it's one of the most-utilized Aldis I've been to, so it's a bit of a madhouse during prime shopping hours. I'm pretty upset about this location. They aren't following Illinois mandated COVID protocols. They had multiple customers walking around without masks. They also didn't accept my ID today, despite there being another mandate to accept recently expired ID's due to COVID and avoiding crowds at DMVs/etc. I triple checked all the recent updates, but the manager wouldn't even stop to listen and was pretty rude about it. read more

Strange, I don't go to Aldi too much because its selection is limited, or at least that's been my perception. This is changing: they have a pretty decent selection of dairy (all inexpensive), an increasing variety of fancy-ish cheeses and meats, lots of frozen stuff, ranging from mediocre pizzas to those meal-in-a-bag things. As always, lots of cheap canned stuff, snacks, etc., and even *some* of their sundry items are OK, and generally cost about a third of anywhere else (aspirin are asprin, folks). Oh, and if you like A-1 sauce ($4-6 at the supermarket), try the Aldi version ($1.19, you'll never know the difference). Some advice: If you're not using a cart, grab an empty box as you come in, and if you don't want to pay for bags, bring some from home. It's greener and cheaper. Look under the sink. Don't go on weekends, or after work; I went on Thursday mid-afternoon, it wasn't crowded, and as previously mentioned, the line 'looked' long, but I was outta there in less than half an hour, thanks to their ALWAYS friendly and super-efficient staff. Nice people. And they have an ENORMOUS parking lot. Oh, yeah: this isn't my always-store, but I just bought three bags of groceries for less than ten bucks, literally. Nice. read more

Kirkwood Fresh Chicken Thighs I bought this several times now from Aldi. The following really bothers me:. 1. Every piece of chicken in every pack I have purchased of the Kirkwood Fresh Chicken Thighs has extra skin wrapped under the meat just to increase the weight. Basically it will have excess skin wrapped under the meat, from this area the meat has already been removed most likely for skinless chicken. My question is that Aldi is charging a premium for the skinless chicken and fooling people like me by including this skin wrapped under the chicken meat I buy. Why cheat the customer this way ????. I AM PAYING FOR CHICKEN AND NOT THE SKIN. Dont even tell me some of your customers like the extra skin. If it is true cut the skin and display it on the side or top of the packaging, don't hide it under the meat. stop fooling your customers. 2. When you take into account all the excess skin they include in this pack, the amount of FAT is way too high. I am sure it is MUCH GREATER THAN WHAT IS SHOWN ON THE PACKET. 3. To put the crown on the top. The Padding placed for absorption at the base of the pack was so heavy and i took it out and weighed it at home and it weighed nearly a pound. ( This is no exaggeration). This is much much heavier than the ones even in the beef packs. so when you take into account the weight of the chicken skin and the heavy padding it accounts for nearly half of your purchase so I feel this is a real ripoff. I feel ALDI needs to take responsibility here as you are not showing any integrity or professionalism. I also will never purchase Kirkwood Fresh Chicken Thighs. To be very blunt, this is plain CHEATING OF CUSTOMERS ALDI, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF IT. I also like to say that you cary a variety of other great products. read more

Yes I am an Aldi's fan since I'm on a tight budget. This Aldi has a pretty decent selection (considering). Pretty good customer service but the only thing is that they do not like to exchange quarters for cash. I don't know why but I wish it wasn't a big deal. I recently moved to the neighborhood that this Aldi serves and it is never crowded. They have as good of as selection as most Aldi locations and prices are good too. I like that this location is always well organized and never cluttered or messy. I will be returning soon! read more

As other reviewers point out, this Aldi does get super busy on the weekends. I like to come on week nights when it isn't too crazy. The pros are the occasional really good cheeses and other items I see at Trader Joes or Costco. Unfortunately, this location does not have liquor. The lines do move fast when it is busy. The clearance items at this location do not get marked down quickly if at all. read more
