*Dsclosure* yes it's been over a year since I went in there. However, because especially of today, I am finally leaving my review for this place. I no longer live in Santa Cruz. I live very far away. I had my computer fixed there literally only because the letter P and the space bar were not working on my computer laptop Toshiba. the long haired ponytail gentleman said to do that he'd have to replace the whole keyboard and I agreed to it. It was gonna be less than $200. However, when I got my computer back without asking me, he said he went ahead and upgraded my ram which I never needed nor did I want. That being said my bill was $300. when I got home as I opened my computer, the left side under the main frame was loose. After two days of opening it about five times a piece of metal and two wires were completely sticking out. I called them and explain this and explained in detail that there is not a left screw holding in the main frame like there is on the right side. The gentleman seemed confused about this and said I could bring it to have them look at it like I mentioned I lived far away and it's not easy for me to get there so that's been frustrating to say the least. And yes today over a year later I happen to be driving through Santa Cruz to visit my dad in the hospital and I brought the computer and hoping they'd have good faith and look on my records to show that I was not lying and I said can you fix this and put in another screw on the left side obviously there's no screw because the little circle of black plastic hasn't even been penetrated like it is on the right side. the younger kid today said we don't touch anything that we've already worked on and I said again I know it's been over your butt brought it home. I called you to say this problem and I have not been able to use it quite uncaring and he replied that they won't fix it unless they replace the entire frame again, which is insane. I can go buy a brand new computer for $300 so that being said now I'm extra livid and I wish I left the review last year , but again, I tried to give them another chance to make it right and they didn't. I will never go again and I trust Best Buys and Geek Squad more. read more
