This is exactly what Gainesville needed, especially in this location. There aren't too many good places to eat in the area without having to go down jesse jewell parkway into the 'abyss'. Located around 1/2 mile from 985 (exit 24), this Arby's location is BRAND SPANKIN' NEW! The construction time it took to erect this location was crazy fast and they did such an amazing job as well. The lines for the drive through are pretty crazy, especially if you are going during lunch time. (I got there at 1215pm and there were around 15 cars ahead...the line was moving nicely, but I decided to walk in instead). When inside, there were no real lines. there are 2 cashiers taking orders, and since it is a new location, most of the staff are relatively new. The operation behind the counter seemed to be moving nicely, and food was coming out in a timely matter. (my overall wait time was around 3 minutes). The food was quick, and just taking a glance over the counter, seemed like everyone was doing their job and no cross contamination was taking place (meaning the person on fries were not cutting the meat). Though, it would have been nice to have the counter in glass so you can see the food prep and all, the decor was quite nice. it was wood all over with tables and booths around. The flow works nicely as well. As soon as you enter, the line is there and flows around towards the drink machines and condiments for your meal (sauces via a pumping system). I took my order to go, and even though i only work 5 minutes from here, the fries were a little cold by the time I got back. maybe next time i'll eat in, and see how it fares. The parking is very tight. there is a lot of overflow into the the paint store next door, or around back. If there is a line at the drive through, do not even think about parking on the side, because you will never get out!
