What a wonderful cultural experience! Always in the pursuit of authentic cuisine from around the world, someone recommended Arman Cafe as the best Afghani food in San Diego, and they did not disappoint! The atmosphere was calm and sophisticated, the food was flavorful and exotic. The Qabuli Palaw was my favorite thing I tried. It is an amazing rice dish with a savory/sweet flavor and decadent beef. The bread they serve is thicker than pita and was a pleasant surprise. The Lamb skewer was well seasoned and tender.
