Desserts: 5/5 We got a blood orange scone and a strawberry danish. The scone was warm and delicious. The orange essence was well infused. The danish was crispy and creamy. Everything was so picturesque. Food: 3/5 Unfortunately, the food was not the best. We got the smoked salmon sandwich which was not very flavorful. The salmon was also slimy. The pesto spread was good though. It was creamy and the artisan bread it was served had great variety. Ambiance: 5/5 This place is such super cute. When you walk in, the desserts all look super appetizing. The seating areas are super cute and the floral decor are stunning. Service: 5/5 It is an order then sit down establishment. There is great attention to their dessert. I saw them heat up a knife just to cleanly cut the cake. The food service however did take some time to come out.

The sugar bun was delicious! I might be a bigger fan of their pastries than their cake…read more The Shrang-la cake was decorated so beautifully! I loved the white chocolate shavings all around. Unfortunately the cake didn't hold well in my commute to Temecula (esp during the heat wave). The dairy ended up hurting our stomachs.

I have lived in San Diego for just over a year now, and have visited An's countless times: during…read morethe summer when the lines are out the door in the heat, winter when the line is still there and it's pouring rain, and everything in between. Do NOT let the lines steer you away - I promise it is very worth it. It isn't only the ice cream that makes it worth the wait, but the overall experience. First of all, one of the hardest decisions for me when getting ice cream is the flavors to try. The flavor tour they do here completely extinguishes any concern around asking to try too many flavors or being indecisive and is something that I think is so unique and honestly that the world needs more of. The flavor tour alone is amazing, but what makes it so amazing is the people behind it. Every single employee I've ever interacted with here has been the most kind and incredible people. You can tell they genuinely want to be there and love talking to people and bonding over a shared love of ice cream. Another reason that I believe the line adds to the experience is everyone is all waiting in line for the same thing - amazing ice cream. It turns a mundane thing like going out for a sweet treat into such a unique experience. I have met so many people in line for this place you wouldn't believe! People from all different backgrounds and walks of life truly make An's feel like a homey environment, and I believe it really sets it apart from other ice cream places. Of course the ice cream is also to die for! I love the fact that they change the flavors, that especially makes me always want to keep coming back to see what they come up with next because they are so tasty. This is where the flavor tour really pays off because most of the time, I end up picking a flavor I never would have gotten if I hadn't tried it and have found some of my new favorite flavors there. Also, the cones are the best cones EVER. My mom is the pickiest person when it comes to cones, and I took her here and she was instantly hooked. We literally came back the next day so she could buy 15 cones to bring back to the Bay Area and keep them in the freezer. Please do yourself a favor and include Ans in your trip itinerary or new San Diego outing routine!

It is so cool how they incorporate so many flavors into one, and it was just so hard to pick which one I wanted. I decided to get the cone, and wow, it was huge. I couldn't finish it by myself and they really stuffed it! Worth your buck and I can't wait to visit other An's shops. The workers were also so sweet and welcoming! They definitely added to the experience so props to them. I also got lucky because the line got SO LONG, right after we arrived. Since this spot is popular, do expect a wait. Also loved the interior, so cute!!
