We were staying at Home2 Suites for a long holiday weekend, and whenever we travel, we usually try to rent bikes just to add a little more adventure to the trip. This place was the closest option and was even walkable from our hotel, which made it super convenient. I originally wanted to rent a regular bike without any power assistance, but apparently my only option was an electric bike. I was definitely uncomfortable at first since it was my first time riding one, but after a little while I got the hang of it and honestly would recommend giving it a chance. The pedal assist ended up making the rides a lot more enjoyable, especially in the heat. We ended up riding close to 30 miles over two days and got to see so much more of the island than we would have if we had just driven everywhere. We were told the bikes could even glide across the sandy beach if we wanted to try that, but the sun was just too intense for us to attempt it. We rented the bikes for 24 hours, and the total came out to over $100. The bikes themselves had a range of around 50 miles, which was more than enough for exploring. The owner still personally runs the business, and he was incredibly pleasant and sweet.
