Contacted AZ Cactus Experts after my Saguaro started weeping black sap that went from barely noticeable to huge in the matter of a few weeks. After doing some research, I knew it was most likely going to mean removing the cactus after learning about what causes that. After thinking I got ghosted after approving their quote, Claudia got back to me after a few days explaining she had emergency surgery that had her down for a few days, which was totally understandable. On Wednesday, she said they had an opening for today (Saturday) at 4:30 and they showed up at exactly 4:30. That set a positive tone for their visit, as one of my pet peeves is when businesses don't show up when they say they will. I hope I didn't offend them by sitting outside and watching, but it was cool to watch how they did it. If only I had known back when I took some other cacti down myself, what I know now, it would have been so much easier. The guys got to work right away, laying tarps down around the Saguaro, before they started taking it down, arm by arm. Considering I wasn't sure it was going to remain standing until today with how bad it had started to lean, the trunk sure gave them a fight, but they got it down and when they began poking it, there was way more rot inside than I ever expected to see, proving just how amazing it was that didn't fall over after how bad this summer was for Saguaros. It took less than 90 minutes for the two guys to get it taken down and everything cleaned up. If you didn't know it was there, you'd never know when they left that they were even here. They filled in the hole and cleaned everything up. I am super impressed and am glad I didn't decide to go with a different company when I wasn't getting a response. They were the cheapest of the four quotes I got, but the earliest date the second cheapest company could give me was 11/5. If I had any other cacti, they'd be the one I'd call again if I needed anything. Really nice people to work with. read more
