The Bittersweet Café is totally cute, has quite the extensive drink menu, a breakfast AND lunch menu, and is reasonably priced to boot!
Mom and I spent an entire day walking around in Dublin, and stopped here for lunch when we saw their sidewalk chalkboard.
I got the advertised Soup and Sandwich special (€5.50): Chicken and Cheese, and Vegetable Soup (Mediterranean was also a choice that day).
The sandwich was very tasty, albeit a bit plain: it could use some sauce. The bread was nice and toasty. The soup was very good and piping hot, but I wasn't expecting it to be pureed.
Service was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. I enjoyed the cozy yet bright atmosphere. If I were in Dublin again, I'd totally make a return visit! read more
