Would give 3.5 stars if possible but can't quite give 4 based on first visit. Came here after a 3 & a half mile walkabout with a friend who had been here before. She knew they had a fish & chip and beer special for 28 Australian dollars ($17 usd). We were lucky to score an outside table that hadn't been cleared yet but was quickly cleared when we asked. My friend and I both got the fish & chip special with pale ales. The salad served with the fish was very good. The fish while hot and well cooked could have been a bigger portion. Ample amount of fries with an average tasting tartar sauce. No ketchup offered and no check back from the waitress to ask if we needed anything else. Sitting outside on a nice day right across from the beach is lovely. Car traffic can be a little busy/loud. Watch out for seagulls who would snatch a fry off your plate if you're not alert. read more
