This is an amazing little family run coffee shop (the friendly Korean woman who runs it is mainly there by herself, so they close at 4). It is very cozy inside with a few tables, and the coffee is pretty good. Not amazingly good (4 stars on coffee alone, much better than Starbucks or the mediocre coffee in the early Westin Bayshore where I was staying), but must give it 5 stars for the overall experience. In addition to the good espresso coffee drinks they have a good menu of soup, sandwiches and crepes in addition to pastries. Everything I saw come out of the kitchen the two times I stopped I looked very good. Even when busy the proprietor comes around the counter to take your drink to the table. The other cool thing is that they have a liquor license so they also have beer and spirits. Even though I never took advantage of that, it somehow enhances the ambiance, knowing that I could stop by later for a drink, and makes it look much more like a coffee bar in Madrid. Finally, if you haven't picked up the name, the name is a play on the show Breaking Bad, and the woman running the place might just be the biggest Alan Cranston fan in Vancouver. And yes you can get a variety of mugs that touch on her Breaking Bad fascination. read more
