Located downtown Augusta, Kentucky across from the Augusta Irish Pub. Carota's Pizza sells Pizza, subs, hoagies, salads, ice cream, domestic beers, etc. My husband and I were looking for a place to get a light bite before we head to the Baker-Bird Winery. This small restaurant stood out and wanted to try it. The restaurant was pretty clean and decorated vintage (old coke signs and pictures). Very nice. The Hostess seats you and we were really impressed by the menu selection and pricing. Pretty cheap. I got the small fried chicken salad for $5.99 (includes iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, onion, lance crackers and your choice of dressing. I got ranch). My husband got a side salad for $3.29 and small 7" pizza (original crust) for $4.39 (plain cheese). We got our salads first and I was not too impressed with a huge plate with little iceberg lettuce. The chicken tasted from a box. I'm not really picky, but that's how I would describe my meal. You get what you pay for. My husband's pizza came out 10 minutes later. It was hot, but crust was alittle doughy. The sauce lacked taste, needed some seasoning. Our server was friendly, but did not ask if we needed a refill on waters.
