Catfish Hut has been an institution in this area for over 30 years. It has changed hands since the original owner, but the current ones have hit the ground running, serving the original menu and adding some interesting specialty items as well. Back in the 70s and early 80s, many catfish joints featured the "trip to the salad bar," and Catfish Hut honors that old tradition with a well-stocked selection of fresh greens and fixings, with Cole slaw also. Our favorite remains the small catfish fillet. The fish is always crispy and hot, well seasoned and not too salty. The French fries are hot and well seasoned, and most importantly, Catfish Hut still serves hushpuppies!
