This relates to our care at the new facility in Ellicott City at the corner of Rt. 40 and Bethany Lane.
Two weeks ago while preparing for a holiday meal, I sliced my finger on a mandolin slicer while making scalloped (not scalpel ) potatoes. I lost a bit of tip of my index finger which was sutured with three stitches. After I got my tetanus shot and waiting the required 10 minutes, I called my wife who had accidentally sliced her thumb while trying to finish the job I started. I brought her back to the facility. The staff could not have been nicer although they clearly were amused by 'that couple'. Another set of sutures (seven this time) a tetanus shot for my wife and we were on our way. Came back in a week to get stitches out. Again a friendly greeting for 'that couple'. Throughout the whole ordeal, the staff was friendly, professional and helpful. We got follow up calls a few days after each visit to ensure all was fine and the doctor gave us clear instructions on wound care. Very happy. Embarrassed, but totally satisfied.
This was the first encounter with any urgent care facility. Our GP's office recommended this location and we are thankful they did.
BTW, the mandolin is in the trash. Evil kitchen appliance. read more
