If you look through my reviews, you'll see I don't review chain restaurants; I usually avoid them altogether. Truth be told, a gift card brought me through the door. I was pleasantly surprised by my dining experience. The atmosphere is much nicer than I expected. Lots of dark wood gave it a true restaurant feel. It was clean, we were promptly seated and our waitress was not only helpful but cheerful. We ordered a couple of drinks to start the meal. I had a good pour on my bourbon coke. My dining partner enjoyed a drink off their specialty menu. When the bill came, the prices were reasonable. There is a little of something for everyone on the menu. I ended up with the smoked ribs and deep fried shrimp. They both were cooked well and had great taste. I didn't love the broccoli cheese casserole side but did like the red beans and rice. I guess some people like the complimentary bread/roll but it didn't do much for me. My dining partner enjoyed the chicken meal they ordered. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. It won't be in my regular rotation; however, I won't turn down another gift card to the restaurant. read more
