What can I say? It's good food at a decent price and the service was kind and prompt. I had a burger with fries and loved it. My daughter had an Alfredo pasta and loved it as well. A young lady walked in behind me and we waited and then a young boy comes around the corner grabs a couple of menus and starts to seat me. I'm like there's just one. Never asked how many were in my group. What if I had five makes a difference what size table... Okay so it started off rough seats me in a booth and I wait and I wait and I finally look at my watch. I'm like I'm going to keep track 3 minutes after that. I still have had no one address me. No water. No one walked past me. I got up and walked out. I don't even think they had a clue... This was my first time visiting Cheddar's , and I was really impressed. Our server, Dominic, was awesome -- super kind, professional, and had perfect timing. He checked in with us here and there, never too much, but I never had trouble finding him when I needed something. I did have a small issue with my food, but the manager on duty handled it so well that it honestly made my experience even better. He came over personally, reassured me they'd fix it, and even though I said I was fine, he encouraged me to let them replace it. That was really thoughtful and says a lot about how much they care about their guests. The food was amazing and definitely a 5/5. and the place itself has this really nice vibe. Clean, cozy, and a little fancy without feeling uptight. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Friendly staff, great management, and awesome food. Wife and I had a bowl of their Baked Potato soup which was really delicious and a regular side Caesar salad which had just the right amount of dressing. Or swimming, but not dry. If you look through my reviews, you'll see I don't review chain restaurants; I usually avoid them altogether. Truth be told, a gift card brought me through the door. I was pleasantly surprised by my dining experience. The atmosphere is much nicer than I expected. Lots of dark wood gave it a true restaurant feel. It was clean, we were promptly seated and our waitress was not only helpful but cheerful. We ordered a couple of drinks to start the meal. I had a good pour on my bourbon coke. My dining partner enjoyed a drink off their specialty menu. When the bill came, the prices were reasonable. There is a little of something for everyone on the menu. I ended up with the smoked ribs and deep fried shrimp. They both were cooked well and had great taste. I didn't love the broccoli cheese casserole side but did like the red beans and rice. I guess some people like the complimentary bread/roll but it didn't do much for me. My dining partner enjoyed the chicken meal they ordered. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. We were there on Saturday evening, 2 of us. The service was terrible, server was short and not very friendly. I had the "melt in your mouth" tenderloin. there was nothing melt in your mouth about it. it was fatty and chewy. I had a side of baby carrots which came in a bowl with water in the bottom and were cold. I was so disappointed in service and food I will not go back. My friend had blackened salmon which was good, but his side of broccoli with cheese was also cold. Both the salmon and broccoli were served over rice. I feel a good server would have mentioned that and maybe a different side or vegetable would have been chosen Instead of getting 2 servings of rice. We will go back to Texas Roadhouse next time. May have to pay a little more but well worth it since you can actually eat the food you're paying for. read more

The food here is really good and the prices are on par as well. The croissants and the chicken tender platter are the best things on the menu, so when you're craving those things it's 100% the place to go. I just wish the sides were better quality. It was the first time that we have been to cheddar's scratch kitchen, but because I tend to favor restaurants that cook food fresh and from scratch, we decided that we most definitely needed to give this place a try. We are so glad that we did! I would like to start this review by recognizing our server, Kendall! She was an absolute joy!! Very friendly and personable, great sense of humor, and an overall Fantabulous personality!! We loved her! We will most definitely be requesting her as our server each and every time that we come back! The food was fantastically delicious! Fresh, and made from scratch, just as they claim! I had the chicken and pecan salad with steamed Broccoli and sweet green beans; Delicious!! My wife had the vegetable plate; also delicious!! We also enjoyed a watermelon, and a Long Island iced tea margarita; double delicious!! We loved everything out our experience here, and we will most definitely be back! They were cooked to perfection, as a NM/TX native I can say I have never had a steak anywhere else that even came close, until Cheddar's. Our waiter was amazingly friendly as was the manager. I ate at Cheddars for the first time 1/19 at 4-430. The place is filthy, I don't think anyone sweep at least all day or longer. The kiosk at the table was filthy and our coffee cups had pink something on them. We asked for coffee, and I don't think that is common, we asked for a second cup and there wasn't any brewed??? We asked for butter for our baked potato, and they had to scoop in a cup? My steak was the special tenderloin, I could not chew it. The country fried chicken was spectacular, son had the ribs and I stole one small bite (didn't even get stabbed) and they were sauced nicely and still had some crunch but were also crazy tender. I ordered a pasta dish that had onions in it and the waitress informed me that it all comes together with the onions and peppers together then the shrimp is just added last. Well, my pasta was overcooked and my shrimp still had the tails on it. Really? I have to pick through a sauced pasta dish with my fingers or lose part of my shrimps? To go past these things the spices were good. My companion had steak that was good and fries were delicious. The service had much to be desired. But, it was a nice looking place. It appeared to be clean enough, other than napkins under our table. We were having an early dinner on Jan. 19, 2025 between 4:00-4:30 PM. We were seated within 5 minutes, which was great, but noticed immediately how dirty the floor was in EVERY area of the restaurant. There was food, napkins and miscellaneous garbage lying all over the floor. We also noticed that when tables were being cleaned, the workers were just wiping off the tables onto the floor. Quite a disgusting thing to see. We ordered coffee and water. The coffee was fine but the cups had something red on the outside of them, obviously not washed well. Our salads were delivered promptly, as were the croissants. Both were okay, but nothing better than other places. We both had tenderloins, one was not even edible. It was so tough you couldn't even chew it. The other one was edible but had very little flavor. My loaded baked potato was cold, very unappetizing. Our waitress was a very nice girl but was quite slow with requests we had. She never asked us if we wanted more water coffee or and when we asked her for more she went to get it only to come back 10 minutes later saying she had to make more. We waited another 15 minutes until she came back to our table and noticed the empty coffee cups. She asked us if we still wanted more coffee. But we declined and asked for our check. She said we could pay through the little kiosk on our table. We tried to pay but it wasn't working, so again we had to wait to see our waitress to get an actual check. After a lackluster meal at Primo in Oshkosh, we decided to stop for dessert. Looking for something new, we picked Cheddar's. Neither of us had eaten here before, so we felt drawn by the "Scratch Kitchen" moniker. One feature that stood out to us was the fact the restaurant clearly lists drink prices on the menu. No surprises that your Island Tiki drink comes in at $15.00. Instead, along with a clear picture, we knew this would cost $7.29 and the Passion Punch $5.99. And the Island Tiki sounded great with "Captain Morgan, Malibu rums, tropical mango puree, pineapple juice, sweet & sour and blue curacao." Cheddar's bills the Hot Fudge Sundae Cake "A huge slice of homemade fudge cake topped with vanilla ice cream, covered with homemade hot fudge, whipped cream, chipped nuts and a cherry." It is much more than that. From the very first bite my wife and I alternated saying "Mmmmmmm..." We literally came in for dessert and drinks, and the staff never flinched. They treated us as if it was completely normal. We'll have to try an entree next time, but this was good. read more

If you are hungry, this is the meal for you. The Buffalo chicken wrapper is great. Just enough heat, it keeps you coming back for more. The order comes with 4 sections of wrap. I could only eat 2. The fries were ok, not my favorite. All in all the quality and quantity of food is spot on. I felt it was very reasonably priced. I will definitely eat here again when I'm in town. read more
