After a lackluster meal at Primo in Oshkosh, we decided to stop for dessert. Looking for something new, we picked Cheddar's. Neither of us had eaten here before, so we felt drawn by the "Scratch Kitchen" moniker. One feature that stood out to us was the fact the restaurant clearly lists drink prices on the menu. No surprises that your Island Tiki drink comes in at $15.00. Instead, along with a clear picture, we knew this would cost $7.29 and the Passion Punch $5.99. And the Island Tiki sounded great with "Captain Morgan, Malibu rums, tropical mango puree, pineapple juice, sweet & sour and blue curacao." Cheddar's bills the Hot Fudge Sundae Cake "A huge slice of homemade fudge cake topped with vanilla ice cream, covered with homemade hot fudge, whipped cream, chipped nuts and a cherry." It is much more than that. From the very first bite my wife and I alternated saying "Mmmmmmm..." We literally came in for dessert and drinks, and the staff never flinched. They treated us as if it was completely normal. We'll have to try an entree next time, but this was good. read more
