Great place for a lunch. I had the house salad with gyro meat added, but the meat was a bit chewy and fatty for my taste. The lentil soup was a standout, it reminded me a little of Campbell bean and bacon soup. I grew up with that, so it rang my bell. The complentary bread was amazing, toasted sesame seeds really shine. The accompanying dip is a bold roasted pepper, mildly spicy, and oil based, aaaand is divine!
The vibe is very Turkish, a humble cafe. Comfy padded chairs are appreciated and the tables are made with love.
Service was a bit slow, but she was by herself on a Saturday.
Limited Drink options, I would have liked to see an iced mint tea or other cold, icy homemade beverage. Asking for a glass of tap water and they will push for the bottled water, unfortunately. read more
