This location of COBS opened recently in Milton (first one in the town!) and I'm happy that it did! It's located in the newer development in Milton in the same plaza as Barburrito, Firehouse Subs, St. Louis Bar and Grill, McDonald's and Tim Horton's. COBS is known for the freshness and quality of its baked bread, as well as other treats like scones. I've tried some different types of bread from COBS' other locations in previous years at gatherings and the freshness of their bread always stood out. When I got to this COBS location at around 4:30pm on a Saturday, there were still a few varieties of bread on the shelf behind the register but I also noticed that many of their other packaged buns and bread on the shelves upon entering were already gone. There were a good amount of scones left though, which was great! This gives me another reason to visit so I can see the other selections earlier in the day. Their scones are fresh tasting and flavorful without being sickeningly sweet. I particularly like the blueberry scones because of the nice blueberry flavour and I love that you can actually see the blueberry pieces in it. The raspberry white chocolate is also good but the flavour is a bit more muted compared to the blueberry scone. The double chocolate scone is rich but a nice treat. The gingerbread has some candied ginger pieces in it for a different flavour. The cinnamon one was slightly sweet because of the cinnamon and bit of brown sugar on it. The banana chocolate scone had that comforting flavour that we all enjoy and didn't have that heavy richness that banana bread sometimes has. The scones are perfect for breakfast or a snack with coffee or tea. I already know that I'll be back to try more of their scones and more of their different kinds of bread! read more
