We stopped in to pick up some goodies after an afternoon of tobogganing. It was our first time visiting Cobs so we didn't know what to expect. 5 p.m. on a Saturday, they still had a decent selection of buns, croissants and baguettes to choose from so we picked up some scones, Baps (French style dinner roll, we were told), a baguette and plain croissant. The young gentleman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. We sampled some Baps at dinner, slightly toasted in the toaster oven which was fluffy and light round of deliciousness and got two big thumbs up from my daughter. We couldn't resist sampling some scones after dinner and the double chocolate, cinnamon and blueberry were all very good. They were more chewy, bouncy kind as opposed to the more dry, crumbly version I've been used to. All in all, it was a great first experience at Cobs and we'll be back for those Baps and to try our their other offerings soon. read more
