Visited here with a co-worker on Thursday, July 21, 2022. This restaurant reminded me of a Southern version of Chilis. This chain is based out of Texas. We didn't have a long wait to sit down and we got a nice booth by a window.
We both ordered off the Weekday Specials menu, valid Monday through Friday, from 11 am - 4 pm. We got the chicken fried chicken ($7) and added an additional side for $3 more. To drink, iced tea, freshly made ($3.29). For my two sides I had the Caesar salad and broccoli rice casserole. The chicken fried chicken was billed as, "Lunch size, crisp, juicy, fried boneless chicken breast smothered in scratch made cream gravy or jalapeno gravy." I ordered this without gravy, but unfortunately the waitress brought it out with gravy. Also, I think the waitress must have been new or having a bad day because she kept forgetting to bring us things we needed, like silverware and lemon. The broccoli and rice casserole tasted flavorful and so did the chicken fried chicken, though I would have loved it more with no gravy! The freshly made iced tea tasted excellent. I asked for tea to go, and unfortunately the waitress brought me sweet tea. I detest sweet tea and the drink stayed on the table.
Decent food, spectacular tea, just wish the service had been better. Maybe an off day for our waitress? read more
