My doctor placed an order for me at the CVS and two days later it still showed that it was in the process of being ready. Today I tried calling to see why it was still in process, and how long it would take to be filled. I didn't mind, this wasn't something I needed asap, but I was just wondering when so I could keep an eye out. I called and stayed on hold for an hour and 13 minutes until someone finally said "hello please hold there are three people ahead of you." As if I hadn't been holding already for forever.
When they answered for me two minutes later, I asked when the prescription would be ready, and they said they could do it right then and there. I appreciated that, but then they told me they closed in 45 minutes so I'd have to hurry to get there. I told them I only lived 5 minutes away and asked if I should just wait until I got a text saying it was ready. They told me to just come in and wait for it.
I just have three questions here. 1. How were they able to fill it so quickly, after it had been in progress for a couple of days, all of a sudden since I called?
2. Why did it take them an hour and 13 minutes just to ask me to stay on hold?
3. Why did I have to go in to wait?? read more
