I've been eating at Daphne's on and off for 8 years, and for fast Greek food they are usually pretty good. The service is spotty, some days they are super friendly and on it and others ..... not so much. Until today I would have rated them about a 3.5, great fast food, so so Greek food. Per usual I got the office lunch order today, My manger had the lemon chicken soup, 2 street pita Gyros, my coworker ordered the Gyro pita combo, with fries and veggies, I had a Gyro and a coke - pretty simple order, all to go, no special requests or substitutions. My sandwich was mostly wilted lettuce, with limp tomato's, the white sauce in the cups was the consistency of runny house dressing, in fact after smelling it that's what I thought it was, the bread fought with me, something I have never experienced with them before. My coworker, does not eat chicken, wouldn't you know it, they put chicken on hers, the receipt even says gyro, her fries were soggy and her bread was as hard as mine. She is a brave soul and actually tasted the faux ranch cups, then informed me it was tzatziki, then proceeded to fish out some limp slimy cucumber strips. My manger has not come to my office to complain, I will cross my fingers and take it as a good sign (it took us 3 years to convince her to try Greek food, I really hope this doesn't ruin our future lunch adventures). My rating, based on the train wreck lunch today I give 1 star, the second is for the times in the past you did things right. Hopefully you guys will pull it together, maybe it's all the "new" items clouding your collective reasoning. Leave the Pizza and burgers to the other guys, go back to doing great Gyros. read more
