My recent visit to Dollar Tree was quite disappointing, and here's why: Store Condition A lot of the shelves were empty, and there were boxes sitting around waiting to be unpacked. It gave the store a disorganized and neglected appearance. Employee Appearance The employees looked disheveled, and their uniforms appeared dirty. It was clear that they didn't care about their appearance, which added to the overall unprofessional feel. Unprofessional Behavior One of the employees walked past me and her male coworker while holding her bosom and said, "I've a nice rack." While I understand that employees may feel more comfortable around each other due to familiarity, this behavior was still unprofessional, especially when combined with their unkempt appearance. Checkout Experience During checkout, the cashier was coughing, sneezing, and wiping his runny nose on his hands. Before I could change lanes, he grabbed my items to check out. He then coughed in my direction and said, "Yea, I've been fighting this flu virus for weeks now." Since 2020, I've made it a habit to wear a mask when I'm feeling unwell, out of courtesy for others, especially when I know I am contagious. I was very uncomfortable with this interaction, especially due to his lack of regard and courtesy for me. He never once covered his mouth while sneezing or coughing and was handling my items with his bare hands after wiping his runny nose. Overall Experience My visit to Dollar Tree left much to be desired. The disorganized store, unprofessional employee behavior, and concerning hygiene practices made for an unpleasant shopping experience.
