Fremont has a new coffee shop: DORDLOFVA just had its soft opening! The space is clean, modern, and very inviting, and the service was excellent. I tried a mocha with nonfat milk and a Swedish marzipan knot that they warmed up for me. As someone who enjoys a strong, rich coffee, I felt the mocha could have been a bit more rich in both chocolate and coffee notes, perhaps because I chose nonfat milk. The pastry dough of the mascarpone knot was good, but the marzipan itself was quite subtle, lacking the flavor I'd hoped for - though that might just be my personal preference.
