What a great introduction to Duchess during DFW restaurant week! I came with two of my friends and we had a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is inside The Nobleman and the decor is beautiful: modern art deco with gold touches for the lighting fixtures. The inside dining room is cozy and they have an outdoor patio as well. The menu is traditional food with a Texas style and the they source their ingredients locally. We had the restaurant week menu. There were three choices for apps so we each got a different one to share. All of them were delicious. My favorite was the fried burrata a followed by the prawns. Such unique flavors! I had the wedge for my salad and it was one of the best I've had. I loved the ranch mixed with the marinated onions, tomatoes, bacon pieces, and it was plated beautifully. For the main, I had the tagliatelle. The noodles are made in house, right? The Texas beef shin ragu was chefs kiss. It's a healthy serving so I took some home for another meal. The smoke & glass cocktail was a nice start to our meal and we three shared a bottle of a Paso Robles red Bordeaux. They have valet parking (first 2 hours complimentary) or street parking. The service was great and they timed everything well.
All in all a wonderful evening and I will be back again soon! read more
