Arrived to the hotel late one night needing food. Was happy to see there was a restaurant on site, but was disappointed they didn't do room service. I decided to go in anyway. Very limited options - but found something I thought I'd try. It was decent but not anything spectacular. While the chicken was good - the cheesecake was better. While good - it is overpriced and limited options. It's an entree with sides à la carte place. Enjoyed the bbq place next door better the next day.

What a great introduction to Duchess during DFW restaurant week! I came with two of my friends and we had a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is inside The Nobleman and the decor is beautiful: modern art deco with gold touches for the lighting fixtures. The inside dining room is cozy and they have an outdoor patio as well. The menu is traditional food with a Texas style and the they source their ingredients locally. We had the restaurant week menu. There were three choices for apps so we each got a different one to share. All of them were delicious. My favorite was the fried burrata a followed by the prawns. Such unique flavors! I had the wedge for my salad and it was one of the best I've had. I loved the ranch mixed with the marinated onions, tomatoes, bacon pieces, and it was plated beautifully. For the main, I had the tagliatelle. The noodles are made in house, right? The Texas beef shin ragu was chefs kiss. It's a healthy serving so I took some home for another meal. The smoke & glass cocktail was a nice start to our meal and we three shared a bottle of a Paso Robles red Bordeaux. They have valet parking (first 2 hours complimentary) or street parking. The service was great and they timed everything well. All in all a wonderful evening and I will be back again soon!

New place inside the Nobleman Hotel in the Southside neighborhood. The building has been converted from an old fire station. The old fire house memorabilia in the hotel lobby is really cool. The restaurant is just off the lobby. There is a bar across the walkway overlooking the pool. There are a couple of TVs over the bar. The old fashioned was a little sweet for my liking but still good. We had the restaurant week meal, and had a variety of dishes. Every dish was very good. Beef shin tagliatelle, roasted chicken, fried burrata, blue prawns, and a wedge salad. Looking forward to going back to try their regular menu.

Duchess is a new restaurant on the Nobleman Hotel, in the Near Southside neighborhood. It has a lovely spacious patio, with misters and a beautiful dining room. The service was great, we dined early, so there weren't many customers. The food is great, typical Texas cuisine. Overall, it's a pretty good place. It's nice having more finer dining options in Near Southside!

Omg super cute. We didn't try the "food" it's like cheez its and trail mix. This place is a total…read morebar. So first floor is a cute little intimate low lit place. Second floor is the event center. Third is the cigar lounge which is highly lit, Smokey and super sexy. Jack nickleson included! The basement is the speakeasy. That's where the loud music, (and less comfortable chairs than above imo) is. But hey! You went to a speakeasy and had a good time!

My husband and I came here for the first time last Saturday, and unfortunately, it was a pretty…read moredisappointing experience overall. The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.
