From John's review

This review covers 7 pastries and 2 drinks. I've included plenty of interior pictures so you can decide on ambiance. The name, Eclairons, is a combination of the words eclair and macarons. It is a family owned business. This shop has been open since September 2020. My wife and I have visited many times. Over several visits, we got the following: 1) Pistachio croissant The exterior was flaky with just the right amount of crispness. It had a light and fluffy interior that was moist and buttery soft. The filling had a sweet roasted pistachio flavor along with a hint of vanilla and butter. The taste and texture were excellent! 2) Za'atar croissant Za'atar is a Middle-Eastern herb/spice mixture. This croissant had a filling that tasted of thyme, oregano, sesame seeds, and a bit of salt. It had a nutty roasted sesame seed flavor with a light herbal undertone. The croissant dough had the same excellent taste and texture as the one above. This was surprisingly delicious! 3) Chocolate chip cookie brownie This was a chewy chocolate chip cookie mixed with a dark chocolate brownie. It was moist with a soft chewiness. The cookie part kept the chocolate from being overwhelming. It was moderately sweet with a great chocolate and cookie flavor. 4) Tiramisu The tiramisu had layers of coffee soaked ladyfingers that were light and moist with a good coffee flavor. The mascarpone cream was light, rich, and creamy with a mild sweetness. The sweetened cocoa powder on top added a nice touch of chocolate flavor. This tiramisu was quite good tasting and an improvement over the tiramisu in a previous visit. 5) Lord Baltimore It had a vanilla Kirsch cream layer with pecans, crushed almond macaron, and brandied cherries sandwiched betIween 2 layers of vanilla cake. It was topped with Italian meringue and almond slivers. It was moderately sweet with flavors of vanilla, almond, and bits of sweet brandied cherries. The meringue, cream, and cake were light and fluffy. This is an elegant dessert filled with comforting flavors. 6) Éclair Tiramisù The eclair was completely filled with a pastry cream made with mascarpone cream and espresso. The choux pastry was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The fondant topping was moderately sweet with a cocoa flavor. They did a great job of capturing the essence of tiramisu in this eclair. Bravo! 7) Alexandria It had an almond coconut macaron, vanilla kirsch cake, pistachio cream, and white chocolate pistachio glaze. The mini macaron on top was cute and tasty. The cake and cream were light, fluffy, and moist. It was mildly sweet with mild flavors of pistachios and vanilla. The white chocolate topping gave it some extra sweetness. We enjoyed it because we love pistachios. 8) Rusty Macchiato This was a vanilla latte topped with caramel drizzle. They use dark roast Illy coffee for their espresso and latte. The coffee flavor was bold and smooth with no noticeable bitterness. The drink was moderately sweet with a light vanilla and caramel flavor. This was a perfect warm drink to pair with a pastry. 9) Tiramisu latte had blended lady fingers, ice cream, and espresso with cocoa powder on top. The overall flavor was vanilla ice cream with a flavor resembling tiramisu. Quite sweet and rich. It should be considered a dessert. This is a great alternative to an affogato! The dining area and restrooms were very clean. The service was friendly, polite, informative, and patient. A special thank you to Maya for her helpfulness and friendliness in the midst of a busy day. She is knowledgeable about the pastries. If you have any questions, she is the one you should talk to. The service was top tier. The food and drinks we got were satisfying and delectable with a couple that exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend you give them a visit. read more
