I came here to try something different for breakfast in the area. I got the usual. Here is how it turned out. I'll save the best for last.
No warm fuzzies were felt as I entered into the restaurant.
$5 for a small cranberry juice. Wow. I'll make sure to go to the grocery store 1st next time.
Corn beef hash comes hot, but it's out from a can for sure.
Asked for 2 orders of crispy bacon. I've had better. It's a little flimsy but they give your 4 slices per order to compensate. Can't complain about that.
Asked for buttered toast. They obliged. A lot of restaurants don't do it.
The star of the show: the hash browns. The best in the south suburbs. Real potatoes fried just right. Hot and and delicious even after a 15 minute trip. Could use some seasoning, but...whatever. Maybe I'll share that with them when I return, because I will return for those hash browns! read more
