I recently stayed at the Element Hotel in Katy, Texas, and overall I had a great experience. The rooms were clean, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the property itself is beautiful and well-kept.
I really want to highlight Magdalena, the Front Desk Supervisor. She was absolutely incredible--warm, patient, and genuinely helpful from check-in to check-out. She went above and beyond, and she was easily the best part of the front desk experience. She truly deserves recognition.
Unfortunately, the other front desk interactions weren't as positive. Sarah was very rude and off-putting during my stay. It felt like she didn't want to be there and was making it everyone else's problem. She and another desk attendant whose name I didn't get seemed uninterested in assisting me as well. Those interactions definitely brought down the overall customer service experience, which was disappointing considering how wonderful Magdalena was.
On a great note, the breakfast was amazing--fresh, delicious, and with plenty of options. The bartender was also fantastic, friendly and attentive, and made the evenings much more enjoyable.
Despite the inconsistency in customer service, I still had a great stay overall. The hotel itself is lovely, and with more staff training to match Magdalena's level of service, this property could easily be a five-star experience. read more
