This is a wonderful hotel. I will definitely be staying here again. The staff is amazing. The place is clean. They're very friendly everyone from your check-in to your housekeeper to the maintenance man. Everybody is amazing here not to mention behind the hotel is a beautiful place to walk there's water and trees and a walkway. The breakfast here is amazing fresh omelette made to order you have a sheet that you fill out and you pick what you want in the omelette they also on the weekends have fresh pancakes made to order like I said this hotel is phenomenal. It is a great option if you're in the Katy area. Also it's right next to Costco very convenient because you have a kitchen in your room. I definitely got water bottles from there. read more

It is completely impossible to talk to the front desk. We stayed there three nights, and left for another city. Upon arriving, just hours after leaving, my daughter realized she had left her favorite dress and a nice coat hanging in the closet. Spent an hour on the phone, and the closest I got to a person was some distant call center reservation line. My wife travels a lot for work, so we're the highest level of Marriot Bonvoy loyalty program, and still nothing even when we contacted them. We filed a report with Marriot, but I'm guessing we will never see the clothes. We were there three nights. I saw the front desk staff. They had plenty of time to be scrolling their personal phones. I stay at this Element when I am traveling for business, because 1) it is close to my company's office and 2) it is my company's preferred hotel. I appreciate that the front desk staff has always been friendly and effective. However, my stays have been kind of hit or miss. Sometimes my room is comfy and sparkling clean, but other times I have had broken items and the room feels a little stale. The pillows are decent sometimes and horrible other times. Most recently the pillows were super floppy and folded in on my head when I lay down. I really appreciate the complimentary hot breakfast each morning, but, of course, some days are better than others. I will probably continue to stay with Element when visiting for business, but I may be a little more vocal if I experience sub-satisfactory cleanliness or maintenance. read more

Called back down and politely asked if they could be delivered she seemed super irritated and abrupt said yes and guess what NO blankets... I stayed here a year and liked it. This visit was awful! They say pet friendly and charge $100 cleaning fee! That should be stated at the booking. There was no ice machines, I had to get a coffee cup of ice at the front desk! The plumbing came off the wall with the hand held shower. The real shower head did not work at all. Terrible ! I have previously stayed at Element Hotels and have enjoyed them, from the environmental approach to the mini-suites and complimentary amenities. I checked the distance and the price and both seem to be good so booked the hotel through the Marriott website, which was easy to do. The hotel's location is a bit odd as it is basically located in the Costco parking lot and behind some apartments. It seems like the track of land was divided in half, with half of the land going to Costco and the other half going to apartments and the hotel. From the roadway, the apartments come first and then the hotel is in the back; it just seemed unique to me. In the front of the hotel was the parking lot and then the entrance to the hotel. As you entered in to the hotel, there was a small check-in desk on left and left was the kitchen where generally the complimentary breakfast would be provided. Straight ahead was a long and narrow sitting area/communal area with lots of couches and chairs. These faced to the large windows and patio which also contained chairs and a bbq area. After check-in, we received the key and proceeded to the room (the Element always provides their own luggage trolley's to assist in transporting your luggage - a great idea). Element rooms are designed as mini-suites and resemble a New York studio apartment with a bed, a sitting area, bathroom, and a mini-kitchen. As you entered the room, on the right was a long but narrow bathroom with a large sink on a counter (the size of the sink reduced the counter space), a toilet, and a shower; there was soap for the sink and refillable shampoo/conditioner and body wash in the shower. In the hallway, across from the bathroom, was a closet with an iron, ironing board, and a place to hang your clothes. Further into the room, along the left-side of the wall was the mini-kitchen which contained a sink, a stove, a large fridge, a dishwasher, plates, glasses, a sponge, and dishwashing liquid. There was also a mini-sink and a coffee maker on the large counter space. Continuing along the left-side of the wall, next to the kitchen was the TV which was mounted on the wall. Along the right-side of the wall were the two beds with a nightstand in the middle. The beds were comfortable, large for two people, and provided a goodnights sleep. There were also plenty of outlets near the bed or on the nightstand to charge all your electronic items. In between the beds and the kitchen was a desk and chair on side, which faced the kitchen, and a chaise lounge chair which was against the side wall and also faced the kitchen. Running along the side wall, above the chaise lounge chair, was the window which was large and let in lots of natural light. Even though there were lots of items and amenities in the room, it did not feel compact or stuffed (like some other hotel rooms) but felt more like a studio apartment in New York City. The Element provides lots of amenities for its guest including complimentary wifi, complimentary parking, complimentary breakfast, access to luggage carts, a full-stocked and large gym, a bbq grill for guests to use. a large patio to host bbq and outside activities, as well as a large indoor seating area for guests to enjoy. Due to the pandemic some amenities were not available or were curtailed, including breakfast which was not as extensive and mainly included mini-packs of cereal, yogurt, and breakfast bars which you could take to-go. Also, due to the pandemic their housekeeping services were drastically reduced and this put pressure on the front-desk, which having difficulty in responding to this pressure. Safety-wise, masks wearing and social-distancing signs were plastered everywhere but these were not enforced nor were guests ever reminded by staff. Overall, it was an interesting stay at the Element. The hotel room was nice, the amenities were still available, and the general vibe were good. The service was a bit strained and the lack of adherence to safety protocols was a bit concerning. read more

Drove an hour from the airport to the hotel with a toddler and was told to look for another hotel nearby. With this kind of practice, you should close down. Awful! Don't stay here!!!! Rude staff and rooms are not clean. Bedding is especially yuck-duvets not clean. Lazy staff that was more interested in their phones and side conversations than helping. As PE Marriott member, no welcome gift offered and no upgrade requested was honored citing 'fully booked' hard to believe as the parking lot was at least half empty. Ignored service requested for extra pillows and didn't bother to respond to the chat requests and calls about the noise. We were finally so fed up, left at 4:30am. I'm writing this review at 6am, because I cannot sleep, for the second night in a row here due to random chaos at this hotel. We come to Houston monthly, and decided to try another hotel this time, and now I deeply regret it. First the walls here are so thin, that you can hear the people in both sides of the other rooms, and above you. The first night, we were up until 1am due to our neighbors not being in their room so their dog was barking non stop. Then back up again at 7am because they left again and the dog was barking. Each time we called the front desk and they could only apologize. By 9:30am the dog still hadn't stopped so they moved us to another room because we were hosting a small business meeting and couldn't have the dog barking non stop. The walls are so thin so unfortunately it sounds like its still your same room. So they moved us to another room, which didnt have any shampoo or soap as the distributor things were either stolen, or just never replaced. Dirty hand prints on the walls that were never cleaned....etc etc. Now, we were woken up at 5:30 by our neighbors alarm, who decided to just let it go off and not turn it off, so we called front desk at 5:40 because we couldn't go back to sleep, front desk didnt answer so I had to walk downstairs to get someone. He went to the room and not sure what happened, but then the person's phone alarm went off about 5 minutes later, for 10+ minutes, I even banged on the wall to have it stop but nothing happened, so we had to call the front desk again. Absolutely ridiculous. We have to drive 11 hours today and we have lost way too much sleep. We requested our first night be comped due to the issues and the manager said she would take care of it, and when we got our invoice via email this AM, it shows she only took $60 off our stay. That wasn't what was agreed upon. This is simply a place I will not stay at again. read more

Overall decent hotel for extended stay. Room is clean and provides all necessary accessories. Breakfast includes Turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, assorted breads, potatoes, coffee, yogurt bar etc. Laundry room is clean, I recommend to bring your own detergent. Staff is courteous. I have stayed at this hotel for years. I have previously enjoyed it, but not this last time. My husbands Tahoe was found on blocks in the parking lot last Saturday morning, along with another vehicle. He is still there trying to get his vehicle fixed. The hotel bears zero responsibility. Not their problem I guess. They said they would comp his room for the extra nights he is having to stay to get the truck fixed and back on the road, but my card has been charged for that too!! This morning he went outside to walk his dog and a bunch of cars have now been broken into right by the front door!!! Zero security. So after all is said and done we will be out our deductible, 2 days of missed work for my husband and apparently 2 extra nights at the hotel. That's around $1,000 lost from this mess. No thank you. This is my new favorite place to stay in the Houston area. The hotel is very clean, yet comfortable, and the staff is great. I love the amenities, and I actually like hanging out in the lobby, which is a bit unusual for hotels in this price range. I had to travel for business on my birthday, and when the lady at the front desk noticed (seeing my ID at check in), she immediately wished me a happy birthday and offered a complementary drink at the hotel bar--which was a delicious, well-made cocktail, by the way. The room is spacious and comfortable. I like the layout. There is a good size wardrobe area just as you walk in across from the bathroom, then a small bar with a couple of barstools separating the kitchen area from the bed, and finally a small living space. The bathroom features a nice, big shower--not some questionable tub with a curtain, but a big, walk-in shower with a clear glass door. I stayed in a king studio, which had a full-size refrigerator and was stocked with cookware, dishes, coffeemaker, and even a dishwasher! There's a small seating area and a nice flat screen smart TV. I understand there are 5 room types, and mine was one up from the basic. This property does a lot of things well. For example, the light switches are nice legaurd switches instead of a cheap builder's grade. There was a switch labeled "Master" by the door that turns off all the lights in the room. I hate leaving lights on when I leave, but I don't like how many hotels have a dim light by the front door, then another sad lamp by the bed, and so on, where you have to stumble from one to the next to get some light in the room. Here, turn them all on if you want, then hit the one switch on your way in or out. The fitness center is well equipped and inviting. There is a nice seating area outside with a waterfall feature, propane fire pit, and plenty of chairs. The pool itself is pretty small and plain, but it was cool during my stay and I never go to the hotel pool without the kids anyway. They have a couple of bicycles and helmets by the front desk, which I assume are free for guests to use, but I didn't ask. Breakfast in the morning was fine. The bagels were actually soft and fresh--something I don't see too often, it seems. Costco is across the parking lot; Cinemark, Whiskey Cake, and West side Mall are a $6 Uber ride away. I only have a couple minor complaints. The coffee in the lobby is not very good. There is a cool machine to make espresso, lattes, etc, but it's not adjusted properly or something, because the coffee is super weak. Not really a complaint, just something a bit odd--there is a column right in front of the main entrance door. The sink in the bathroom is ridiculously shallow--to the point where it's like playing Operation to wash your hands without touching either the faucet or the basin. And the shower door didn't close well, so the bath mat was soaked after a short shower. read more

Overall rooms were clean, modern and large! I wasn't expecting to get a fully equipped kitchen in a standard room. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were quiet (you don't hear traffic noise or doors opening/closing in the hallways). The hotel as a whole was very refreshing, the lobby was modern and clean as well. I liked that they gave you the option to earn rewards points for every day you skip house keeping (tbh I don't need it everyday). 1/5 actual worst hotel experience of my life. they gave our room away that we had booked for MONTHS. she acknowledged that we had a reservation but that there was nothing we could do and they were full. mind you, this was 11pm. i asked the most unhelpful rude front desk lady what we should do and she literally just looked at me. when we asked for a manager, she told me it was too late to call someone and she didn't know what happened to our room bc she was just the night staff. gave us no way to fix this for the future. mind you we are PLATINUM marriott members and have used these hotels for 30 years. she wouldn't help us find another hotel under marriott and wouldn't help us with matching a rate for another hotel for THEIR MISTAKE. basically we ended up staying at another hotel in a smaller room for more money. i hope this lady gets fired and never works in hospitality again bc she sucks. i'm not a violent person and i was about to start swinging. so yeah. stay at this hotel if you want them to give your room away in the middle of the night and leave you out to dry. read more

Absolutely horrible. They downgraded our room to a single bed with no sofa when we had 4 people booked to stay in the room. We had returned from an Astros game at 10:30. We had to change to a different hotel, so my 6 and 8 year old missed hours of sleep. This hotel ruined our Memorial Day weekend. The breakfast was adequate at best. If you value your vehicle and personal belongings, you may want to reconsider staying at this property. Approximately 12-20 vehicles were vandalized and had property stolen out of them at the same time in one night. Do not let the new secluded location fool you. This hotel is dog friendly! I love that to start with! It is right next to a man made lake with a walking path. The hotel is super clean, modern, and quiet. The gym is larger than you'd expect in a hotel and the breakfast was great. All of the staff were very nice and friendly. Lastly, I love that the room has a mini kitchen area. If you want to stay at a flea infested hotel, look no further. This place is a shithole. The room was covered in fleas and I had to switch rooms only to wake up to more fleas that had attached themselves to my clothes. I killed maybe about 10 and that's not counting all the ones that got on my friend. The manager apologized but it was just kind of like "oh I'm sorry, I mean we do accept dogs here so you're at risk..." lol what the actual f***? I have 4 dogs at home, flea free and well taken care of I cant afford to go home with not even one flea on me yet l still feel them in my jeans. (I didn't have a change of clothes) this is the worst experience so far. Needless to say, I will NOT be back and I'll make sure to spread the word as quick as their fleas jump. read more

We stayed 2 days July 19 and 20. This was our second visit to this property. It is new and modern. Clean and well maintained property. We came in late in the evening and were upgraded to a King Studio.We would have much rather had the room we had reserved. The King Studio actually had less room to navigate around the pull out couch. It forced us to move the couch in a different direction. The smaller one room King on our previous visit was much easier to manuver around the room. POOR BREAKFAST! I held off on a negative review of the breakfast on the first visit. This second visit confirmed that you are missing the boat. The manager needs to visit any competitor nearby. Was only supposed to stay here for a night and then head to San Antonio but ended up staying 8 nights because the area was so nice and so was the hotel. The employees were wonderful and kind. The breakfast in the morning can get a little hectic but the employees were awesome about making sure people didn't ruin it for others. The room was roomy clean, full kitchen and super comfy bed and pullout. The pool was heated which is awesome on chilly mornings and nights. There's a fireplace outside that is really nice. During the day they put out wine beer and cheese. I can't say anything bad about this experience. Took advantage of the gym, great equipment selection. Nice hotel with friendly staff. The noise from other rooms was horrible last night. The alarm clock that wasn't plugged in went off at midnight. (Obviously had a backup battery) There was a dirty coffee cup in the sink when we checked in that looked like it had been there for days. Found a razor blade in the window tracks, I really hope was from construction. Traveling with four kids and it's not something you want to stumble upon. Breakfast was cold, but they make the pancakes to order. They say the pool is heated but there was a "party" going on last night so we couldn't check it out.
