I've been meaning to come here for a year now, and I was in town, so I gave it a try. I have to say that Thai and Ghanaian is not a combination you see.
Today I tried the crab rangoons and combination pho, with a hot tea. The inside is spacious and the booth was comfortable. The menu has a lot of options, though the African section is small and loaded with spicy peppers, thus out of reach for someone who has reflux or can't handle spicy. The service is friendly, though be prepared to need to notify them you desire something. My rangoons initially came out crispy but cold. After sending them back I received much more brown ones in return. I struggle to say they're crab rangoons, but what they definitely are are pouches of flavor. The sweet cream cheese and the carrots get offset by flavorful spices, so each bite is exciting to eat. No need for the sauce, they're sweet enough without. The pho broth was unctuous, not salty or heavy or thin. Real care went into the making of that dish. I can say I was confused by the bone in beef shank, and I got not the ingredients on the menu. I got everything from the seafood (fish ball, shrimp, and cut squid), sliced chicken breast, sliced round, and a beef bone. I'm not complaining, I enjoy variety, but it also wasn't what was listed.
Overall, I want to come back and try more. The reviews of the hot pot sound like that's a good choice, and there's plenty else too. read more
