Our 2 dogs have been going to Fido's K9 for the past month or so. This may be the largest day care/boarding facility in the city. They have almost 5k square feet outside and another 2k inside.
This is a brand new dog boarding/daycare/exercise facility that's the evolution of its founder Tony's long-successful dog walking and training service, called 'Fido's Gotta Go'.
On the owner: anyone who knows Tony knows his passion for dogs. He's always educating himself on new training methodologies and the latest gear/technologies in dog training. This guy knows a lot about dogs. I've enjoyed picking his brain and using him as a resource to help me get a handle on my very energetic 3 year old pup Neko.
On the Business:
We started with the dog walks about a year ago and over the past month or so have been sending our dogs to the facility.
We use the pickup/dropoff service twice a week and love it because the pickup is early (around 8am) and the drop off is late (around 5pm). This means our dogs are TIRED (satisfied?) when they get home.
Tony sends us text recaps (along with photos) after dropping the dogs back off after a walk or day at the facility. Every single time. His level of service to the dogs and the dog owners is unparalleled in Chicago. I was formerly a customer of another doggie day care for a few years and in the early stages tried a handful of other facilities for boarding/day care.
This is the tops. read more
